Commentary
This praeceptum was used as a source for the interpolation concerning the Pantano forest in the Louis the Pious's diploma (CV I, no. 29, p. 233, footnote 1). It was included in the Chronicon Vulturnense with some omissions and probably also some variants. Vincenzo Federici assumes that in the original praeceptum the donation of the Pantano forest was attributed to Ildebrandus, Duke of Spoleto, who would be replaced here by Duke Gisulfus of Benevento.
